INTERACTIVE CARE - CERTIFICATION COURSE
​

This is a leadership excellence, positive culture and customer service training program for:
- support workers, 
- 
integration aids, 
- 
professional carers
- family carers
in the disability and aged-care field.
It's about disability awareness, the carer mindset, person-centred care, being safety minded and
workplace/home place satisfaction and happiness for all. It's a course about the quality of care you provide and how to achieve meaning in your work to ward off future burn-out.


The Interactive Care course provides a premier certification for exceptionally trained, client-centred, highest quality personal support workers for people with a disability. Interactive Care focuses on being a Disability Support Worker, family carer or assistant for someone with a disability or in aged care - particularly for those people with mobility issues and/or with little or no speech.


What's included:
  • A 12-day course, (6 Theoretical Days and 6 Experiential Days)
         (run over 6 – 12 weeks, or over 2 x 4-day live-in retreats) 
  • All course pre-reading, all resources, manuals, handouts and materials
  • All access equipment, (hoists, wheelchairs, slings, utensils, camodes etc) for the experiential days
  • Lunch, morning teas, afternoon teas and tea & coffee each day.
  • 1:1 support for each participant's projects, assessments, presentations and experiential learning
  • Guest speakers, multiple facilitators and people with disability to practice your sills with
  • Marking of written assessments, essays and goal statements
  • Ongoing coaching (3 x refresher sessions) over 12 months
  • Graduation dinner ticket and presentation of Interactive Care certificate

3. Leadership Regardless of Title. (It's your job to advocate for those in your care)

5. Safety First - But Quality of Life a Very Close Second. (Let's be safe, but let's live too.)
6. No More Institutionalised Insanity. (Homes must be homes, not hospitals)
7. Touchpoints of Care. (Opportunities to create happiness, educate, give opportunities, show compassion and to understand.)
8. Crucial Meaningful Relationships. (Family and friends give life meaning)

​This is our premier, significant 12-day (with 12 months of mentorship, resources and learning) leadership program for those who live and work in the disability field. This important training is so that everyone involved with caring for people with limited mobility and/or limited speech can be confident that they are providing the very best for their person with disability.
